Solar Panels – There is a 25 year lease from the 18th Feb 2014 for the airspace above the south facing roof. The house is being marketed inclusive of the solar panels and any attempt to have the solar panels removed should be done by the buyer post completion. The property benefits from electricity that the solar panels produce during day light hours but the electricity has to be used as and when it is generated. So for example if the sun is shining and the panels are producing 3kWh and you boil a kettle which takes 4kWh, the panels are wired in such a way that the electricity from the panels is used before the grid (energy provider). So it will use the 3 kWh hours from the panels and draw 1 kWh to top up the supply from the energy provider. Any energy that is produced from the panels that is not used by the property at the time will be sold back to the grid for the benefit of the solar panel company. The solar panel company are called – A Shade greener maintenance Limited.
